Cobblestone, Christmas Village and Shopping

Cobblestone is so fantastic. Maybe it makes everything look more historical or maybe it’s the free comedy of watching women with stilettos trying to walk down the street but whatever it is, neighbourhoods with cobblestone immediately have an appeal.

I don’t know how I went so long without visiting the Distillery District. I think it’s one of the best places in the city. Here are my favourites:

  • Corktown Designs – looking for unique handbags and jewelery? Look no further! Home to great distinct pieces – including the fantastic Harvey’s clutch that I picked up here.
  • Bergo – I’ve never purchased anything here but I love drooling over the fantastic items that would make up my dream kitchen.
  • Toronto Christmas Market – I can be a bit of a Scrooge when it comes to Christmas but I do love the Christmas Market. Choirs, gifts from around the world, glittering lights and one giant Christmas tree make for a fantastic experience.
  • Balzac’s – I have to include at least one food-related item! This is a coffee lover’s paradise but they make a mean chai latte too.
